Dehumidification by adsorption

Back

Within the area of dehumidification there are two principles of function, i.e. adsorption and condensation.

The two principles differ substantially as regards mode of operation, price, and efficiency, and in this way also as regards the field of application.

In all circumstances the choice between the different types depends on the task in question.

As HBC is the manufacturer of adsorption dehumidifiers we will describe the applications and advantages of this product.

Below we have entered some of the advantages and applications of adsorption dehumidifiers in relation to condense dehumidifiers.

Advantages

• Deep drying
• Effective even at low temperatures and low humidity level
• Lower investment at high capacities
• Simple construction/high operational reliability
• No limitation as to size – large standard dehumidifiers are available
• Other the electricity also gas and steam can be used for regeneration in case of large dehumidifiers.

Applications

• Waterworks
• Breweries
• Ice rinks
• Power plants
• Heating stations
• Cold store and freezers
• Storage houses (Dry air storage)
• Storage houses for ammunition
• Building drainage / flood damage
• Corrosion protection
• Process drying
• At sandblasting and painting.
